چکیده

This article presents the boundary conditions for the problem of turbulent supersonic gas flow in a plane channel with a perpendicular injection jets. The non-reflection boundary conditions for direct modeling of compressible viscous gases are studied. A formulation using the NSCBC (NavierStocks characteristic boundary conditions) through boundaries is derived for the subsonic inflow and subsonic non-reflection outflow situations. Verification of the constructed algorithm of boundary conditions is carried out by solving a test problem of perpendicular sound of jets injection into a supersonic gas flow in a plane channel. Keywords— WENO scheme; non-reflection boundary conditions; NSCBC; Supersonic flow.

A Low Cost Numerical Simulation of a Supersonic Wind-tunnel Design

In the present paper, a supersonic wind-tunnel is designed to maintain a flow with Mach number of 3 in a 30cm×30cm test section. An in-house CFD code is developed using the Roe scheme to simulate flow-field and detect location of normal shock in the supersonic wind-tunnel. In the Roe scheme, flow conditions at inner and outer sides of cell faces are determined using an upwind biased algorithm. ...

The numerical simulation of compressible flow in a Shubin nozzle using schemes of Bean-Warming and flux vector splitting

Over the last ten years, robustness of schemes has raised an increasing interest among the CFD community. The objective of this article is to solve the quasi-one-dimensional compressible flow inside a “Shubin nozzle” and to investigate Bean-Warming and flux vector splitting methods for numerical solution of compressible flows. Two different conditions have been considered: first, there is a sup...

Generalized characteristic relaxation boundary conditions for unsteady compressible flow simulations

We develop numerical boundary conditions for the compressible Navier–Stokes equations based on a generalized relaxation approach (GRCBC), which hinges on locally one-dimensional characteristic projection at the computational boundaries, supplemented with available information from the flow exterior. The basic idea is to estimate the amplitude of incoming characteristic waves through first-order...

Numerical Simulation of MHD Boundary ‎Layer Stagnation Flow of Nanofluid over a ‎Stretching Sheet with Slip and Convective ‎Boundary Conditions

An investigation is carried out on MHD stagnation point flow of water-based nanofluids in which the heat and mass transfer includes the effects of slip and convective boundary conditions. Employing the similarity variables, the governing partial differential equations including continuity, momentum, energy, and concentration have been reduced to ordinary ones and solved by using...

Navier-Stokes Characteristic Boundary Conditions for Simulations of Some Typical Flows

The improved Navier-Stokes characteristic boundary conditions (NSCBC) method for direct numerical simulation of viscous flows, combining six order non-dissipative compact schemes with eight order filters, are studied in this paper. The new boundary conditions including transverse and viscous effects are applied to a comprehensive set of test problems, such as vortex-convection, counter flow, pre...
